Opti-Coat Pro

What is Opti-Coat Pro?

Opti-Coat is a hard wearing, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching (9H) and protection from chemical etching due to environmental impacts.

The Opti-Coat pre-polymer cross links, and forms a continuous protective film on the painted surface it is applied to, similar to a single component isocyanate that forms a clear coat finish.

Opti-Coat has better chemical resistance, scratch & mar resistance, and release properties than any automotive paint coating in use. It provides permanent protection for all modern factory paints and can also be used to protect metal and hard plastic surfaces.

How It Works:

  • Opti-Coat works by bonding to your factory clear coating and becoming a permanent part of your vehicles paint system. Just like the clear coat bonds to the base coat, Opti-Coat bonds chemically to the clear coat.

  • Initially, the technician will assess the paint work for defects and contamination. All surface contamination and any necessary defects are removed. Once this stage is complete, the paintwork is prepped and cleaned using an alcohol based cleaner and ready for coating.

  • The Optimum Clear Coating is mostly self leveling. Any high spots are manually leveled by the technician to produce an even coat. Once complete, the surface is touch dry within 30 minutes.

  • The Optimum Clear Coating continues to cross-link and harden. Within 12 hours it is resistant to liquids such as water and can be driven as normal by the client. Opti-Coat will then continue to harden over the next 30 days as it is exposed to heat.

Opti Coat Pro Plus (Optional)

Opti-Coat Pro Plus Ceramic Paint Protection package now delivers even more gloss and slickness than ever before, while still maintaining the same chemical structure that has made it renowned as the ultimate protective paint coating.

The advanced formulation not only delivers amazing gloss and protection, it also provides increased anti water spotting and hydrophobic properties to maintain the perfect finish in the long term.

Opti-Coat Pro Plus is an enhanced 2 step version of Opti-Coat Pro. The first step, Opti-Coat Pro, is a ceramic clear coating with superior resistance to scratching, chemical etching, fading due to UV and provides outstanding release properties. Opti-Coat Pro Plus adds great gloss and slickness for a fantastic shine and long term paint protection with a 7 year warranty.

How Does Opti-Coat Pro Protect the Factory Paint?

A single layer of Optimum clear coat measures approximately 2 microns in thickness. Compared to other “paint protection” sealants, Opti-Coat is more than 100 times thicker with tests showing a wax coating measuring less than 0.02 microns.

This allows Opti-Coat to effectively absorb damage that would otherwise affect the factory paint layers. Swirl marks, light scratches, chemical etching is not only decreased by the harder clear coating, but the factory paint is protected by the thick outer Optimum coating.

The Optimum Coating is also resistant to acidic substances such as bird droppings. Unlike your factory clear coat that can be permanently damaged, Opti-Coat will not etch or dissolve when in contact with these acidic substances and a clean, glossy clear coating is maintained.

How Is Opti-Coat Pro different to other Paint Protection/Sealants?

Opti-Coat is not a wax or sealant like other products on the market. It is a ceramic clear coating very similar to factory type clear coats.

A layer of Opti-Coat measures approx. 2 microns in thickness, or about 100 times thicker than your typical wax or sealant. Unlike paint protection sealants such as PTFE, Nano Sealants, GlassPlexin that degrade over time and are easily removed through washing with water or chemicals, Opti-Coat does not degrade and cannot be removed by chemicals such as heavy duty truck washs or even caustic degreasers. It is totally resistant to these chemicals and produces a permanent film that is chemically bonded with the factory paint layers.

Opti-Coat is effectively the vehicles new outer clear coat. It is far more resistant to chemical etching than factory clear coats and far more resistant than competing paint protection sealants. The 2 micron layer also provides a thick buffer between any damage and the factory paintwork.

What are the benefits of applying Opti-Coat to my car?

Opti-Coat will provide the owner with a superior clear coat film that is highly resistant to chemical etching, harder than factory clear coat to induce swirls and scratches, and a permanent hydrophobic surface that is easier to clean and stays cleaner for longer

* Things that can deteriorate or destroy the coating *

- Abrasion IE. trading paint with other cars, polishing, wet sanding, repainting, poor washing methods or any other sort of harsh contact.

Paint Correction

Tesla Model S Extreme Autowerks®

Single Stage Paint Correction

The Single-Eliminates light defects in the paint and increases the gloss and clarity of the finish. While there are many variables that determine just how much correction can be safely achieved with one stage of correction, we approach each car appropriately to try and maximize the results.  Depending on the characteristics and condition of the paint, we can normally remove anywhere from 30-70% of all swirl marks and light defects.

  • Vehicle is hand washed with a pH neutral soap and dried with soft microfiber towels

  • Detailing clay is used to remove embedded contamination

  • One-step paint polishing process is utilized to remove many swirl marks and some light scratches, restoring depth, gloss and shine to the paint

  • Door jambs are dried and wiped down

  • Wheel faces and barrels are cleaned with appropriate brushes

  • Tires are washed and dressed

  • Exhaust tips are washed and lightly polished

  • Quality polymer sealant is applied to exterior painted surfaces for shine and protection

  • Interior gets a light vacuuming

Multi-Stage Paint Correction

Recommended as initial service for vehicles with paint in fairly poor condition, having moderate defects like fading, oxidation, large amounts of swirl marks, scratches, etc.

The Multi-Stage Paint Correction Detail is our most valuable and beneficial detailing service for most vehicles that are driven frequently. Through two or more steps of machine polishing, the paint on the vehicle is greatly improved. This is achieved by removing unsightly swirl marks, greatly improving deep scratches or defects and bringing out a clarity that brings the shine, gloss and reflections of the paint to a whole new level. As with any correction service, level of improvement will greatly depend on the paint type and condition, but we are normally able to accomplish 75-95% defect removal after two or three stages of paint correction. After the paint correction, the vehicle is protected with a quality polymer sealant that is applied to all exterior surfaces.

  • Vehicle is hand washed with a pH neutral soap and dried with soft microfiber towels

  • Detailing clay is used to remove embedded contamination

  • Paint polishing process of two or more steps is utilized to remove swirl marks, most light scratches and as many severe defects as safely possible to restore paint clarity, gloss and shine that rivals a brand new paint job (some defects may require additional polishing steps or may be too severe to safely remove)

Headlight Restoration

Headlight Restoration Reveal Detailing Extreme Autowerks®

Back in the day a car’s headlights may have been made of glass and were affordable. Today headlights on most current vehicles are constructed using a lightweight, but tough, polycarbonate plastic that can cost as much as $1200 per light. This type of plastic is great because it provides a favorable set of attributes that include: optical clarity, impact resistance and the ability to tolerate high temperatures. Although it is hard, it also is porous and susceptible to environmental elements. To counteract this condition, a silicone hard coat is applied to the lenses at the factory. Keep in mind, that aftermarket headlights may not have this coating. The hard coat is designed to protect the headlights from acid rain, vehicle exhaust, heat, bugs, scratches, harsh chemicals, and the sun. Over time the coating on your headlights wears away, allowing them to turn cloudy, oxidized, or yellow. This can reduce night-time vision by up to 70%, causing an unsafe driving condition.

At Reveal Detailing we can restore the beauty of your headlights for a fraction of the cost for new ones. Our process starts with sanding the headlights, beginning with a coarse grit. As we continue this process with finer grade of sand paper, we are able bring back the optical clarity they had when new. The headlight are buffed and polished to a clear shine. Finally we apply LLumar's Paint Protection Film to protect and seal the headlights. LLumar's Paint Protection Film comes with a 3 years warranty. An average headlight restoration takes about 3-4 hours (Depends on how bad the headlights are). We can also provide this service to taillights as well.

We guarantee your headlights will not yellow for 3 years!
